Hello! My name is Melissa, an artist and engineer from the West Coast of Canada. I have many interests and hobbies. My interest in sciences and technology lead to to pursue a degree in Engineering Physics and allowed me to work in various high tech companies. True North Creations is where I showcase my artistic side. Here you can find my artwork and designs featured on greeting cards, fine art prints, stickers and other creations. Everything on this site is made by me either by hand or produced in collaboration with local Canadian manufacturers.
I paint a variety of subjects, but I am perhaps best known for my whimsical animal paintings. Many people appreciate the way I bring these creatures to life with cheerful expressions.
I started this journey with the modest ambitions of paying for a hobby that I enjoyed, but the feedback I’ve received from customers about how my art makes them feel and how they’re using my cards to reconnect and support loved ones makes me so excited to continue creating and sharing my work.I hope you are able to find some of my work that speaks to you.

Leo supervises most of the creative process, often by helpfully sitting on whatever I am drawing on. In his spare time, he can often be found napping, bird watching and spending time with his family.
Misty - Chief Logistics Officer
As the Chief Logistics Officer, Misty is responsible for getting all the orders to the mailbox each day, rain or shine. Misty enjoys chasing balls, carrying sticks and licking things in her free time.
